I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you, but for those who don't know me…

NAME: Kara…but most of you know me as K-Dubb !!

FAMILY: Mom & Dad live in Marietta with my two brothers Jon & Gedde
YEAR I STARTED RADIO: 2004
FIRST JOB IN RADIO: Scheduling & voicing commercials for Cox Radio Atlanta!
OTHER JOBS IN RADIO: I’ve done a lot of jobs! I worked in the promotions department for the Beat for a few years. I was a weekend DJ for the Beat & then moved over to be the Programming Assistant for The Cox Radio Atlanta cluster (AM750 WSB, B98.5, 97.1 The River, Kiss 104.1, & 95.5 The Beat)…I know it’s a lot isn’t it?!?
FAVORITE ARTISTS: I like a lot of different stuff, but I would say some of my top favorites are MIA, Lil Wayne, Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Justin Timberlake, The Chemical Brothers, James Brown, Morris Day & The Time, Prince…the list goes on & on….
FAVORITE FOOD: I like all kinds of food…if it’s bad for you…I LOVE it! Hahaha!
FAVORITE VACATION SPOT: THE BEACH!!!
FAVORITE MOVIES: Snatch, Fight Club, Swordfish, How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, Down with Love
FAVORITE TV SHOWS: I am addicted to Reality TV!!! American Idol, So you think you can dance, ANTM, Hell’s Kitchen, Project Runway…you get the idea!
FAVORITE ACTORS: Brad Pitt, Jason Statham, & Johnny Depp
FAVORITE SPORTS: College FOOTBALL!!! GOOOO DAWGS!!!!
FAVORITE RESTAURANT: Sapporo Steak & Sushi in Marietta!
FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP: LiviRae, Lucky Store, Off Broadway Shoes, & BEBE are a few…it just depends on what I’m lookin’ for!

I am an ATL native…I’ve lived in Marietta for almost my whole life. I went to Pope High School and graduated in 1999. I took a year or two off and then decided I wanted to go back to school. I found a fantastic program at Chattahoochee Technical College that was totally entertainment based. I was part of the first group of students to complete the program. In 2003, I graduated with a degree in Entertainment Technology. If you’re looking to get into the entertainment industry…it’s a GREAT program to look into!

I've been given an unbelievable opportunity to join all the fantastic people on the Beat staff to keep 95.5 the number one station in Atlanta! We are all extremely blessed to have such an awesome job and be able to live what we love.

When I'm not at work I am usually out with friends, or at home with the love of my life…a Manchester Terrier/Chihuahua named Lola …she is my baby! My family is extremely important to me. I have two younger brothers, Jon & Gedde. My parents are the best, especially to put up with me for so long! I also have TWO beautiful little Goddaughters…Kayla & Leighton.
